I hate you!!! LOL!
Yes, I hate you so much! LOL! Wanna have lunch? ROFL!!!!!! Anyway, yes, everyone I've met has been very friendly. I accidentally bump into someone and they don't sneer..they say, "Oh, I'm sorry!" I also haven't experienced the "anti-Californian" thing either. In fact, on the radio the other day I heard something that cracked me up. A guy called in to ask a question and mentioned he'd just moved from Sacramento. The radio DJ replied with, "Really? Well, great job getting out of THAT hellhole! Welcome to Oregon!!!" That's kind of the attitude I've gotten from everyone I've met. Oregon's a great fit for us too.

LOL! Nope. She stopped talking to all the neighbors after I kicked her off her high horse. I yelled at her for walking all the way down the street to yell at all the neighborhood boys for throwing rocks into the empty wooded lot across the street. LOL! They're boys! Her daughter owns the house and recently moved back in and moved them someplace else.

Nope. She stopped talking to any of the nieghbors after I kicked her off her high horse. I yelled at her for lecturing the neighborhood boys for throwing rocks down an empty wooded hill across the street. My son was among the boys being boys so I came to the rescue. I was NOT happy about my son being yelled at by some unknown person for no reason whatsoever. Anyway, her daughter owns the house and moved back in, moving the old lady somewhere else. LOL!

I guess you don't notice the judgement around you until you are the one outcasted. I never heard anyone in CA talk crap about other states but that's because I was from CA, so why would I here it? It's a shame that this goes on but I can see that things will get better due to all the good people out there. Thank you

We don't hate Californians or any individual from California.
But this is all too common:
"We couldn't wait to get away from the crime in Oakland" as their children roll by in a bouncing car, making if difficult to get a fresh clip in their 9mm.
"We sold our two bedroom in SF for $750,000 and bought a six bedroom in Portland for $500,000" driving the price of a two bedroom in Portland up to $400,000.
Stuff like that.

As a FAR Northern Californian (North of Sacramento) I tend to agree with you on that one. We have the same issues with that going on here in what we call the North Valley. The rental and mortgage rates have doubled here during the last twenty years, making a two bedroom apartment $900 a month, but.....surprise.......no jobs or economy to support this increase. Many of us have had to resort to roommates or housemates like they do in New York or the Bay area, just to live.
It is also turning into a traffic nightmare here, with almost hour long commutes to go three miles, and the holier than thou attitude.

I am originally from California. Twice, in my life, I tried planning to move to Oregon. Both times, I wrote letters to the Chamber of commerce in the towns I was interested in and was told DON'T COME HERE unless you have money because nobody will give you a job.
It is people from Oregon who made up the slogan "Please don't Californicate us"
Of course, that is not everyone. Anyone who believes that is stupid. But unfortunately it is the anti CA people who are loud and active while everyone sits back and does nothing then takes offense at their reputation.
I think Oregan is a cool and interesting place and I have visited several times, however, I frankly have to tell you that I have never been treated as well as in WA.
By the way, I live in WA now.
