What sort of insect pests does western Oregon have on the hiking trails?

mosquitoes, depends on where you go as to how bad they are. up by mt adams and mt st helens is where I've encountered lots of them. but some of the closer trails I haven't seen any. deepwoods off and thats what works the best for me.
