How was the move with the UHaul to get your stuff down there? How much did that cost?
Would I be better off moving 23-24 hrs to get back to Boston even tho Boston rents are higher than Portland or am I better going over double that distance but paying cheaper rents?
It seems to equal out either way I dunno.
I was in Portland recently checking it out and I loved it but who knows also if much of it will be the same in years to come. I see it becoming a new Brooklyn with the hipsters taking over personally.
I may not even do the Uhaul bit or a moving truck but just incase I do, does it really cost tons of money to do?

While there are still neighborhoods in Portland that are relatively hipster-free, it still seems to be headed in that direction. Who knows though, maybe another "cool" city will pop up in the next few years and the bloom will be off the rose here.

Yeah, the hipsters are all form and no substance. They (will) have to grow up. They tend to live in-town and in older housing stock. I wouldn't want that. Pick Beaverton, Lake O, Wilsonville, Clackamas/Happy Valley and other similar areas and I guarantee you will have a "hipster-free" experience.
