Sounds like you have a pretty good plan, and if you aren't making the move until April you have plenty of time to fill in the details. I'm looking at Gresham myself. Best of luck.

That is exactly what I meant by 'family' and since they live in Gresham I would think you would have put it out there that you were at least looking to be east of Portland? I mean you wouldn't want someone to offer you a place in Beaverton would you?? Trust me, you wouldn't. Nope. It isn't any clearer as to how or why you are in this situation but that is alright. Only you can know if you are making the right decision on how to go about getting back together with your family. Just remember, other people can see your stuff more clearly than you ever can. I don't mean me, I mean your friends, your close friends. Don't pay too much attention to what any one of them thinks but if you start to hear the same thing from more than two of them. Listen. I didn't. Don't be like I was. Good luck.

I understand what you mean and now I know that before you were just looking out for me, so thank you. I believe I took your previous comment on the defense instead of seeing it from a different angle. She does live in Gresham, but in the end she will be moving as well. So I am looking for more Portland, downtown area. Right now my goal is a job and just a place to exist. Im not looking for a permanent residence. My close friends want me to be gone, they know that by her side I am complete, they are also looking for my faster route out there. The only person who is saying stop, look and listen is my supervisor at work. He knows I cant be a cop out there and I have a better chance here.

I am still taking tests here, and trying to make it all workout. Thank you very much.

How or why Im in the situation, well not to get fuzzy on the details but I have been taking care of my mom here, and now Im ready to be there. That is the slim downed version. Im tired of living just day to day hoping I win the lottery. I know my place isnt there for forever, but for now its where I need to be and thats good enough for me.

Thank you for the luck, Im sure ill need it. Keep a look out for me

I did the same thing almost 3 years ago. I packed my car up and moved across the country. Luckily, I had a place to live and could live rent free until I found a job (which took me 6 months). Anyway, goodluck!!! L

I wish I could do that, and usually I always have somewhere just in case. Which is why I am so nervous this time around
