Question Is this the first time you've driven in SNOW AND ICE?

Just a simple poll to see if this the first time you have driven in snow and ice and what the outcome was. Any stories would be good.

The first winter I spent in Klamath Falls they had their largest amount of snow on record. It was higher than the tops of tennis nets. I had to drive to a claim in the country. When I turned to go up the people's driveway I could scarcely believe my eyes as it higher than the hood of my car. I gave 'er the guns and went about 3 of the 31/2 blocks up that darn thing. The man of the house stood on the porch watching me with a big smile on his face. Nonetheless, I had to anandon ship and trudge thru hip deep snow to the porch. He took me inside where his wife was waiting with coffee and a hot coffee cake. Sat by the fireplace, ate warm food, drank coffee... very nice people and one grateful claims adjuster.
