Default mental health care in Portland?
I am graduating soon with my master's degree in social work and thinking about moving to Portland and looking for a job in the mental health field. Does anyone have any experience with the mental health system in Portland or pointers for me?

The big local company that works with the city & county governments is Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare (or something like that - working from memory). They've had some financial problems recently; don't know if the situation is resolved.

There are a great deal of programs for different institutions, from the missions to care for the mentally ill to programs for medical care for the indigent...though many are hurting for funds as the money dried up.
