So, anyway, I had some time and went into Fubonn's since I had heard so much about it. So, right at the front door was like 8 different types of rice. And maybe 20 brands of soy sauce on the shelf in one aisle.

OH, MY GOODNESS. What a major difference. Look for the imported Thia Sweet Rice, this ain't your daddy's bland no-taste white rice grown in Texas, Heck NO!!! Rice with flavor and taste!!! (It's like the difference between a Michigan grown generic russet potatoes, and a Willamette valley grown Yukon Gold potato.)

And the soy sauce imported from Japan, Yamasa's Sashimi style Soy Sauce is an incredible change from overpowering taste-bud numbing American style soy sauce to a flavor enhancing condiment that can awaken taste-buds enabling them to the decipher the range of other flavors. This ain't your American large corporation made soy sauce from Minneapolis.

Sorry I didn't mean to hijack the thread, but the range of Asian foods in the markets in Portland is not something you can experience in the Rust Belt.

Phil
