have any of you guys,regular posters or new members ever had meet-ups? Would anyone care to?

mod interpose: Ok, let's try this again without the off-topic and snarky comments. There might be reasons why you don't want to get-together but let's discuss them in a civil manner.

Just for informational purposes, there are quite a few meet-ups that have been organized through City-Data forums. In many city sub-forums, members have formed such a bond that they wanted to get together socially in person. Some cities now have regular meet-ups scheduled.

I'll leave this up as a sticky for a few days and if we have positive comments, the thread can survive on its own; if not, we can let it die naturally. From the previous comments, I'm assuming that Portland isn't ready for a get-together but we can revive this thread in the future so let me know at any time.
