I agree with Rob Allen about February.
For me the worst time is late Feburary, early march.
It's still cold and wet, but you anticipate the coming of spring.

No, wasn't me. I haven't had a fishing pole in my hand in over 40 years.

It's likely that you've run into someone else with my name. The website How Many of Me says that there are 9,600 people in the US with my first & last name.
