How does one go about locating gated communities in Portland and the surrounding burbs?

Just call a seasoned realtor in the areas of interest. You can also look it up it MLS listing search and type in the word gated/ posted guards. My experience in a gated community was so wonderful , no traffic at all, super quiet, in a beautiful peaceful setting in nature. It really kept me focused on my work, without interruptions. It gave me feeling of calmness and safety.
Twice a month happy hour was held in the club house, a wonderful time to mingle with the neighbors. It may not be right for some, but great for others.

I've seen gated apartment complexes in Gresham. I would imagine there would be gated communities in Lake Oswego/Dunthorpe area... Maybe Tigard? I'm sure parts of Vancouver have them, maybe in Felida, Mt. Vista, or even Fisher's Landing areas.
