What neighborhoods in Portland are very mean and unkind. Places that are poorer and the residents are less educated.

I find the tone and content of your question and post to be offensive to the entire Portland community. From what I know, there are great efforts in the Portland area not to create social and economic stratification and isolation ghettos like you describe. There may be a small areas here and there but what you describe is an economic slum.

I am sending our moderator, Oildog, a complaint and asking him to lock down this thread.

I am insulted by your post.

Phil

The only mean area of Portland is the 200ft around city hall. The rest of the city is utopia.

Well that is nice to know. I'll avoid that area for now on.

Phil... I got banned for even hinting about a thread being locked... so you might want to edit your post. <<< just saying if you want to.... not saying anybody else should.

Just so you know, the Original post in this thread was a long rant that had very serious un-acceptable "code-words" and skate-around phrases. The OP edited his rant and delete the over-the-top offensive 90% of his original post.

This sub-forum is about Portland Oregon.

For several reasons on my end... once I log-out of this site and close my browser, I am unable to return and edit any previous post. (Lo-o-ng boring technical reasons.) Our Moderator, Oildog (Portland and Eugene), or cornerguy1 who moderates the Oregon forum of course can delete my thread if they choose in order to keep the public peace, but I cannot edit my post. I respect their judgment in this matter.
