Don't be discouraged by all the whiny naysayers. I moved here in September. I was prepared for the worst. I have a BFA but was realistic about the fact that I would probably have to find a service industry type job while making connections etc. "Entry Level" jobs for recent college grads don't really exist anymore. I had a job at a large bookstore within 2 weeks. Since then I have been employed at 2 other service industry establishments and am doing light office/reception work.

If you are professional, friendly, and interview well your odds are good. If you have customer service experience, awesome. It's completely doable. It might take a little more persistence than usual given the current market and lower standards, but it absolutely is possible.

Poo on all the negative nancys.
