I am looking for one of those places that does weekly lodging for very cheap. I have used them in other states, where you pay about 250-300 for a week and they have a kitchenette. I have had no luck online, but I know they exist! Anyone have any names of places? I have checked the local newspapers and motels. We will be near sw 105th ave in beaverton. Will need it for a week or two until we find an apartment in the area. tx in advance.

I guess it depends on what one considers cheap...

Have you checked Craigslist? At one point I found lots of these for $200~300 per week. The problem there is it's going to cost just as much (if not more ) as renting an apartment. As a temporary solution it works, just my 2 cents.

When I was apartment hunting, Craigslist was an excellent resource.

If you don't mind staying overnight with no frills, a hostel isn't a bad idea. Was going to do it myself but plans fell through:

Hawthorne Portland Hostel – Portland Oregon USA

I live not far from this hostel. It has a good reputation. And you will be near a frequent service bus line as well as stores.

There is a Homestead Suites at 158th in Beaverton, which have reasonable rates. And there is also an Extended Stay America in Beaverton somewhere, too.
