Looking at a possible relo for a job in Hillsboro and have some questions.

Looking for recommendations for great high schools; excelling academically and sports programs too-softball and swimming

We are looking for neighborhood suggestions with a $450,000 budget. We would like a family friendly neighborhood. It would be a plus for a community pool, parks, golf, etc. I haven't looked much yet since I don't know where to focus our search so I don't know how far our money will go in this area. Safe area and less than a 30 min commute to Hillsboro. Looking for social neighbors....book clubs, dinner club, etc?

Are there neighborhood/summer swim teams?

Recommendations for excelling ASA fastpitch teams for 12-14U

Any places to avoid?

I think you can find most of what you're looking for in Hillsboro. A good place to start would be Jackson School Neighborhood and the area around Glencoe High School. Glencoe has been consistently ranked in the 5A division, plus it's a good school in other areas. Another option would be the Oak Hills, Bethany, Cedar Mill, & Tanasbourne area near 185th Ave and Hwy 26. Sunset High took second in the 6A division last year. The other high school in that area is Westview, which has also done well in softball (and other sports). The stats for 6A seem to be a little more volatile than 5A (OSAA.org :: Championship Archives)

Both Hillsboro and Beaverton would have everything you mentioned. There are several good golf courses in and around Hillsboro: Pumpkin Ridge, Meriwether, McKay Creek, The Reserve, etc.

The main swimming pools are Shute Park in SW Hillsboro (City of Hillsboro), or Tualatin Hills in Cedar Mill (Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District).
