East India Co. on 10th next to the street car stop is much much better than India House.
Hiroshi in the Pearl is the best sushi in Portland and most expensive. Yakusa and Murata are good too.
Chinese? Wong King has great authentic Chinese dishes, Mandarin Cove and Sungari Pearl have good Americanized Chinese food
Thaifood - Typhoon on 23rd and Esan on 2nd are my favorites. Pok Pok is good, but too many white people.
Mexican - Natalia in downtown Hillsboro. Camarones diablo at the Hillsboro Juan Colorado is awesome, not good at their other restaurants though.

I had babaganush from Blue tangerine at the Iranian festival and it was the best I've had. I think their restaurant is at Bridgeport village.

I grew up in NYC and have a job interview in Portland so I'm doing research about different restaurants. If you never had authentic Dim Sum, then you are missing out since there are many varieties to select from.
