Default Creative Pregnancy Announcements

If anyone follows Vanity Fair on Twitter they had "Top 10 Worst Top 10 Lists" and this was one of them. Some are cute and some are kinda eh. I could think of a whole bunch of much more tacky and annoying ways. But there is the list for anyone who wants to see it.

Top Ten Creative Ways To Announce Your Pregnancy! « Dr. Linda Burke-Galloway

Extremely and utterly lame. Dr Burke-Galloway does not have a promising future in the surprising-people-with-news event business.

I'd be more interested in hearing your tacky and annoying ways, ohio. Sounds like more fun to me.

Buying a greeting card, LOL, we did that! We decided to announce my pregnancy with my now 5 month old DD at Christmas last year. We bought a Christmas card addressed to Grandma and Grandpa and signed it, "Love, your 8th grandchild. Can't wait to meet you in July!" And we stuck an ultrasound pic inside the card. Cheezy maybe, but I thought it was a cute way to tell them.

Whatever happened to just telling your husband and family in normal conversation?

Although suggestion #1 would be beneficial to a women who anticipates her husband might react badly. .

This news story is the result of a journalist not having better ideas for a story. She needs to take a Brainstorming 101 course.

With our first we sent a card with a cute poem we made up about meeting their first grandchild in May.... My In Laws were so shocked, they had to read the poem twice! My mother tried to look surprised but i think she had already guessed!

With our second we bought a T-shirt for our then 27month old that said "Im going to be a big brother" and he wore it on Christmas day. It took like two hours before someone finally read his shirt and put it together... it was the best way because everyone was together....

This back fired because I put the tshirt in his drawer and when he started pulling on his own shirts at around 2 or 3 the tshirt was put on by our second child and we didnt notice and our parents thought we were having another.... lol... oops.
