Default Request for Help on back pain

I am having the exact same problem as you. It has been 3 weeks since the delivery and my backpain is not subsiding yet. It goes away when on pain meds. I would appreciate if you can let me know how long it took you to recover from the back pain and any advise on how I can improve

I also had an epidural with my last child. He is now 16 and I suffer terribly with back pain. The anesthesiologist stuck me five different times. Couldn't even remember how many cc's of meds he put in me. It's all been a nightmare for me. One Dr says it could be direct spinal cord damage or nerve damage. Another one diagnoses me with degenerative disc disease while yet another Dr tells me I could have chronic adhesive arachnoditis. For 16 years I have suffered and still believe the epidural caused it all. Got my medical records from the hospital and was looking thru them and discovered I had an infection in my spine at epidural site and was never even told of this. Talked to a lawyer and he wanted to take my case and he ended up passing away. Tried seeing if his son would take my case and he mysteriously lost my medical records. I was very discouraged and still am not sure what if anything can be done.

A friend of our had a hernia repair. He was given a epidural /spinal block, sorry I am not a medical person so don't know exact terminology. It was the kind where they administer medication into spinal area via a puncture into the spine area. Anyway within the covering of the spine is the spinal fluid which goes all the way up to the brain, basically same fluid. Usually that puncture heals itself after they remove needle or whatever is used. His puncture didn't heal and was getting a lot of headaches and backaches because spinal fluid was leaking and spine and brain were low on fluids. They tried several times to get it to heal by doing a blood patch, basically trying to get a blood clot to seal up hole where the leak was. After several attempts it was finally fixed. It took about a year.
