I was thinking bout this post today. Another thing that makes these "parties" awkward, that first trimester. It's so iffy, most people wait until they make it to the second trimester to announce because those first 12 weeks...well, do you want to have a huge celebration and experience a miscarriage? In early pregnancy women typically only tell close friends and family, for that reason.
Na, I would'nt but to each their own. I wait until we see the heartbeat on ultrasound or until the 1st trimester is over to tell people due to the fact that 15-20% of pregnancies end in miscarriage.
I think gender reveal parties are ok & could be really fun. My husband does not like the idea though.
This seems really tacky to me, and a gender reveal party sounds like a gift grab. Is nothing private anymore??
