A visiting Czech family (here for schooling/work) is expecting a first baby. We're getting a shower together and were wondering if it is traditional there, too, to give a party. Any 'traditional' type things involved? Thanks for any input!

On a side note, any ideas for baby favors (inexpensive) would be appreciated! Perhaps you remember a party where you really 'wowed' by the favor??

no, sorry- I meant that we could make here...like certain colors or symbols ( like what if traditionally they gave some sort of flower or something...)

They will be here a couple of years- he's studying for his post doctorate- and hoping to stay afterwards, so I don't think she'll need worry about taking them home.
