I always wondered about situations like this with men who donate sperm.

while Britain, Norway, China and other countries have passed laws limiting the number of children conceived per donor, the United States relies solely on voluntary guidelines. That has raised fears that the offspring of prolific donors could meet and fall in love without knowing they were closely related, putting their children at risk of genetic disorders.

It's an odd's game really. Yes it could happen, but given that most of the article talks about all the children being far apart and even in other countries, and how they purposely seek each other out, the odds are probably pretty slim that two half-siblings would randomly bump into each other and fall in love.

Of course, I'm not saying I wouldn't be opposed to a cap, or some sort of regulation to make sure someone doesn't sire 100 kids all within 3 sq miles of each other.

It honestly probably a good idea to limit the number of donations or children conceived with a man's sperm, but it’s just so unlikely that two offspring would ever be involved romantically. I also doubt that there are that many men who donate dozens of times. It’s a pretty limited payout.
