Just as many of us here have been saying that this should have never happened, so it seems the experts agree....and their pissed.....

"WASHINGTON (AFP) – As the octuplets born to a California woman turned one week old, the coos and praise that surrounded their successful delivery turned into cries of anger from fertility experts and the public."

...."Under guidelines issued 10 years ago by the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), a woman Suleman's age should have no more than two embryos implanted."

The ONLY tv show this family is fit to be on is Jerry Springer. If TLC does indeed sign this family to a show I will NOT be watching that channel again and would actually approve of it being dropped from my cable. Not that I watch much on TLC these days anymore as they have gone downhill. Maybe TLC is ready to be the new home of the Jerry Springer show and Mom Suleman can be JS's "mothering expert". right...........


I agree though......... I think most companies are treading lightly here as they are seeing the negatives of this and right now with the economy going as bad as it is............ supporting this family could jeopardize their customer base. Not a good thing.

If this happened in the UK with a foreigner having 8 kids and having 6 already, there would be blood on the streets. Us Brits hate foreigners who sponge off our system.

I just feel so sorry for these babies. They did nothing wrong, but how is one woman with no job and now no parental support going to take care of them? We have twins, and just two babies is difficult enough. We spend easily $2800 per month on diapers, formula, nanny, and food for our twins. How does she think she can afford 8?

And if she thinks she's going to get a show, I doubt that will happen. She's only attracted anger from the public.

Totally agree...poor kids. I seriously doubt she will get much. Maybe a National Enquirer type interview that will pay well but even that will only last so long with 14 kids.

Yeah, If TLC wants her, People can (and probably will) complain to the station on line to let them know what they feel. I don't think they should give her a show, I think they should find a better home for those kids.....

She can't even afford the children she already had...

Lots of statement verifying that she had the children b/c she wanted money & thought this was the way to do it.

Serious mental healthy issues.
