But the OP said he would be "relocating with job", which is what most of us were responding to.

We have different opinions as to weather - not ideal for me or lots of other people I know. Like I said, you couldn't pay me to live in Phoenix. Any time of the year.

As far as heat, yes, it does get hot in Phoenix. But lets be real here. In Prescott during winter, it gets cold, especially at night. Single digits are not too uncommon. Daytime highs in the 30s. Snow, ice and crazy winds can and do happen up here. While it is a "mild" winter, it still gets cold here.
All the websites I go to say Prescott is 50's in daytime in winter
Summer and winter temperatures in Prescott average 70 and 50 degrees, respectively, and humidity hovers around an ideal 45%. Snow remains on the ground 10 days or fewer each winter. The high elevation and mountain breezes keep summer pleasant, with temperatures rarely exceeding 85 degrees, and since summer nighttime temperatures are 30 to 35 degrees cooler than daytime, Prescottonians sleep comfortably even during the few days that are really hot. (Prescott Valley and Chino Valley enjoy similar conditions.) In July and August, the monsoon season, thundershowers cool the afternoons and paint beautiful sunsets behind the buttes and mountains.

WHAT??? You are not being accurate.

Here is the data, right off of the NOAA site:
http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/wrh/techMemos/TM-274.pdf

Climate (Average Weather) Data
StatisticUnits Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec Average Minimum
Temperature° F23.3 25.6 29.7 35.2 42.8 51.2 58.5 57 50.1 39.1 28.5 23.3 38.69 Maximum Temperature °F50.9 54.2 57.9 65.2 73.8 84.6 88.3 85.7 80.8 71.4 59.6 51.6 68.67

Open the PDF and it will clearly state what the FACTUAL climate is, not what a Realtors spin is.

Default Might be relocating to Prescott

Dellnec,

Out of curiosity, is there anything you actually like about Prescott?

There is, I have mentioned them quite often here on the forum. The weather is more mild in the summer than Phoenix, the scenery is beautiful, the open spaces are breathtaking and the amount of outdoor activities is endless.

At your age, 53, you'll fit right in. Lots to see and do here. You just have to look around and experience it, it yourself. Lots of walking/hiking/jogging trails, if that's what you like to do.

Oh, yeah, just ignore the haters and drunks. Don't associate with them. Just enjoy yourself and hope you like it here. Good luck!
