We're looking at Prescott neighborhoods from afar and would appreciate some local information on Prescott Lakes.

There seem to be a lot of homes for sale there, and some news of problems with the golf course and HOA.

Any advice from someone with first hand knowledge would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

The Prescott Lakes subdivision was having some problems, but the home owners voted on a referendum to modify their dues and everything seems to be headed in the right direction now. The Arnold Palmer Group purchased the golf course and is making improvements, including building a new restaurant.

Thank you for the reply.

Do you have information on monthly HOA and/or club fees?

For the golf course, take a look at the following website: prescottlakesgolf.com: Home

For the HOA, take a look at the following website: Prescott Lakes Community Association -

The HOA fees vary from about $50 to $200 per month for site-builts depending on whether the home is in a gated area. The gated areas have added costs for maintaining the gate and the private roads behind the gate. The HOA fee gives you access to the clubhouse, but not the golf course. Golf membership is extra.

Do you know if health club membership is mandatory? Thanks again.
