Possibly taking a job at the VA hospital in Prescott. Looking for places with decent schools for both my sons and easy commute to the VA hospital.

Lots of areas can work for you. Can you be more specfic about what price range you are looking at? The worst commute would still only be about 30 minutes and 15-20 miles from the VA.
