I think it depends on what area you live in..what serves you best. I went from Commspeed..to cable internet..and what a big difference. I have no issues with my internet...it is excellent. Fast..reliant..and great customer service.

I am not sure that Commspeed is available in Prescott.
At least I have not heard of them here.

Default Cableone Service is presently out at my Prescott Location

Cableone is presently out of service for me. Copper Basin near Highland. I checked with techsupport today and they confirm that they are working on the problem. This began suddenly yesterday (03/30/12) afternoon. The modem flashes SEND but will not go ONLINE.

I'm able to send this because I am able to use a neighbor's unsecured router which must be using a different service.

Other services in the Prescott area are QWEST and Commspeed (at my location neither offers higher than 1.5 MB at last inquiry). Commspeed advertises that they will have Wimax (a wireless service) but not yet.

Regards:

Keninaz: I had Commspeed for several years both dialup (as Northlink) and then their wireless unit. Fastest was 1.5MB. If they get Wimax up it is supposed to be around 6MB.
