Yavapai County Community College is considering raising property taxes 2% to meet their funding requirements.

We have a flawed system when an organizatoin can unilaterally impose taxes on property owners.

Even private companies such as electric companies are subjected to rate regulation via utility commissions, but our "higher learning", and their attendant higher costs are permitteed to just stick their hand in our pockets at will.

It's not a done deal.........yet.

There is a public meeting June 5 downtown. Contact all the supes and attend the meeting if you want your opinion to count. Tell the supes their vote will be noted when you vote.

Too much county business is done under the radar, or the taxpayers are ignored and not notified after the fact. Show up and be heard.

They conduct these meetings with very limited advertisement. Even when they do quietly announce them, the hours are work hours, so most people are stuck at work or caring for their families so they can't attend.
