Default Prescott - Keep Growing!

PRESCOTT - As the Fann annexation nears its next review by the Prescott City Council, changes continue to occur on the plans for development of the 1,142 acres.

PRESCOTT - A 200-room, 219,500-square-foot hotel complex along Highway 69 could be the answer to the city's long-time push for a major hotel/conference center. Both city officials and developers emphasized that the project is a venture that includes landowners Jim Lee and Scott Lee.

KEEP IT GOING! I LOVE IT! The more businesses, the better the pay and opportunities!!!

Money talks....

One of the very VERY few positive comments I've heard about Prescott. And I proudly say Pre-Scott & not the local pronunciation Preskit just to let those who I conversate with KNOW that I am not from this hole.
Whether the better opportunities come or not, this town is just not for the middle class citizen. If you don't live in a nice, uppity neighborhood or out in the country, then you will most likely be neighbors of either someone who is in recovery, out of recovery, or going to the well-known T.A.S.C. if not RIGHT NEXT to one of the gazillion halfway houses & recovery homes!
Oh, & not to mention the very likely possibility of hearing sirens all through the night. Who knows what goes on in this little town. Too much for it's size.
I've been here since June 2006 from a well-loved Missouri. And at this point I wake up in the morning thinking: Well, this is beginning to feel like a vacation that started off really nice, with beautiful scenery and brilliant air. But now it feels like a vacation that is lasting way too long & getting to be a bit creepy.
But hey, if you can love your nice settings in good ol' Preskit, then all power too yah. I'd much rather live elsewhere.

Really, don't hold back, tell us how you feel...

I hear you, and I understand the pain, I felt it also. Prescott is best described as a Sun City with Scottsdale and Paradise Valley thrown in, then add some Ash Fork, & finally throw in some Sedona.

Here is the breakdown:

Sun City - Retirement Town
Scottsdale - Rich,
Paradise Valley - Ultra-rich Beverly Hills 90210
Ash Fork - Poverty stricken, meth-problems galore
Sedona - Kinda nutty, protest any growth (after you move in first, of course) -aka Hypocrisy tree-hugging hippies.
