In a couple of weeks my wife and I are heading to Prescott in order to spend some time getting to know the area, spend time with realtors, check out activities and meet up with a relative and friend. Although we are 68 and 69 we are incredibly active; crafts, woodworking and 19th century baseball. Hopefully we can break the stereotype too many have of crochety old people. One of the things I'd like to do upon moving there is possibly starting a vintage base ball club. Do you think there would be an interest in something like that? There are a number of clubs in the Phoenix area we could play. Your thoughts would be most appreciated (as well as anything of else of possible interest to a couple of "newbies")

There are plenty of baseball fields in Pioneer Park. Check with Prescott Parks and Rec (928-777-1122)to see if they know of anything like you are looking for. You could also ask them what would be required to start a league.

There are also some pretty nice field in Prescott Valley. I assume they would not have built them if they are not used.
I used to play ball but my back won't allow it now.

The only vintage baseball activity in Arizona I am aware of happens at Warren Ballpark down in Bisbee. It might be worth your time to contact Friends of Warren Ballpark. They're currently organizing an event for April next year and they might be able to help you identify vintage fans in/around Prescott.
