Does anyone else have a problem with the local channels (3-15) on Cable One skipping in the evening? They are fine during the daytime but around 7:00 pm they start freezing and the sound cuts out. It seems to get worse as the night goes on. This started after the switch to digital. We about ready to switch to satellite tv.

I had Directv for almost 15 years (one of the original customers) and they were far better than Dish ever thought of being.
But Directv changed over the years. There customer service is far from what it was in the mid 1990s.
All I can tell you is watch out for extended contracts they try to put you into. And watch them while they do the installs. They damaged 3 of our homes in the process.
And when I disconnected from Directv they tried everything to keep me. When they couldn't they tried charging me for the 3 receivers that they said I did not send them. (keep your shipping documents! I had mine and it still took 2 months to get that reversed. They also tried to say that when they replaced a defective receiver in my home that I warranted a new 2 year contract. The paperwork I signed said one year and I had a copy of it to prove it. They sent letters to credit collections agencies and such until I got fed up with them and told them if they put a ding on my credit or tried to collect again for the $550 "early disconnect fee" that I would sue them as I had all the proof I needed that I was not under contract. They finally stopped the harassment.
Plus the elevation and azimuth of the dish here lends itself to the dish filling with snow or ice when that happens and you lose your reception when that happens so if you get it put the dish in low so you can clean it off. And when the rains come you still get WX outages with satellite TV. You have been warned.
At least with a local company you can call them and they will come out and fix your problem and that will happen a lot faster than the satellite companies can get there.

Call them and tell them to fix it. Call them over and over till it is fixed. I'm guessing it is a line problem that during the day isn't noticeable but during peak usage it is.

Their customer support number is 877-692-2253.

I have found in the past you are really better off to call the local office for service if you can get through to them.
It avoids scheduling problems and you get quicker service.

Write down the phone number to cable one. It is hard to find on the internet. The customer service needs a whole new face lift

You need a new search engine or something. When I google "Cable One, Prescott, AZ it gives me full information including this.

Cable ONE
3201 Tower Rd
(928) 445-4511
Open until 5:00 PM

Do note however that if they take too long to answer the phone it automatically switches to the toll free system to get answered.

The fact that their customer support phone number is no longer on their web site, at least not in an obvious place, doesn't give me warm fuzzies. I got their customer support phone number off twitter. Thanks for the local office number keninaz.

They also have customer support on the internet but if the net is down what good does that do you?

YES! Thank you. I thought it was just me. Of course, calling Cable One, their default explanation is that it's just me. Our service has been off and on for going on 2 weeks now. Sometimes down all day. It's not just me, though. It's also where I work.

Is Cable One the only cable internet option around here?

We really need options so the sucky ones can go extinct ;-p
