When does Prescott/PV typically get their first snow for the winter season? I looked at the forecast and there doesn't seem to be any cool down soon or freezing temps at night. Last year, we got dusting in December, roughly 2" but it didn't stick around long. We could use the moisture with it being really dry, however this year is a weak La Nina so who knows.

When we first moved here in 92 it used to start snowing around Thanksgiving and last til around April. Got some pretty good amounts here and there. Since then it has started later and later with less and less. My trees used to start budding out around may but were in full bloom in March. So could happen anytime or never. Best to be prepared either way.

I believe it snowed in early November in 2015 but not looking like anything like that happening here soon this year...I agree with hellzbellz it is anyone's guess, though I'd count on an early storm hitting in early December and then it warming up again (seems to have been the pattern last few years). Hopefully like in the last two years there will be a good snow storm right around Christmas.

From what I have seen it appears that late Nov or early Dec we get a dusting if recent history means anything.
