Default Prescott area including Flagstaff
Thinking of moving to southwest from southeast. Have spent years in bible belt with hippocrits and hatred. We are 65 + retired quiet gay couple that enjoys people, good food, wine, performing arts and orchids. Would like someplace that is at least receptive to different lifestyles. Is this possible in the Prescott to Flagstaff area or are we dreaming? Would like to hear from those of you there that know the area and like where you live. Thanks for your help.

Probably Flagstaff. Flag is cool and has a really nice little college town atmosphere. It has probably the most "real" culture around AZ. I recently moved to NM from Jerome AZ. Jerome has a predominantly Arts and Gay culture but the availability of housing is near imposible. That is why I had to leave, just couldn't find a suitable place to live. It has an intense tourist action that keeps it real busy, like crazy busy, so I found it a little too much because I am old and grumpy. But check 'em out, Flag and Jerome, I think you will like!

Try Bisbee- South of Tucson- The Rainbow is flying all over this charming hillside mining/arts/crafts/bars town. Love it...
