Some questions about Prescott for kids
Just researching Prescott which looks lovely. We're trying to get a sense for what available for kids and teens in terms of dance schools, theatre classes, gymnastics, etc. I see the Y has gymnastics, but where do the kids go for dance classes, martial arts, etc? Do you need to go to Prescott Valley for most activities? I see that PV has the ice skating rink. I appreciate any info. Thanks.

Google searches got me some hits in Prescott for dance and martial arts classes/schools. Not for theatre or gymnastics, so the Y may be it. Perhaps someone there can give you more info.
If you are moving from NYC to the small city of Prescott, the culture shock will be, well, enormous.

There are various dance schools and martial arts schools around the city. I think the YMCA has something to do with dance, however I am not sure. They also have gymnastics, and I believe that is all for gymnastics.
Depending on the age of said kids, the high school has drama classes and that sort of thing. I think the elks theater does something for kids also.
Tim's Toyota Center does have open skating, however it is at various times, only on certain days.
Prescott valley is certainly growing faster than Prescott, and I expect you will see more activities appearing there rather than here.

I cannot imagine what this place would be like without the YMCA.
Addressing your direct questions the best I can; gymnastics and martial arts are at the Y, dance classes no to the best of my knowledge. Saturdays can be busy at the Y with basketball tournaments and volleyball. Pool area is always hopping. Here's the link so you can go right to the source. Prescott YMCA - HOME
Feel free to DM for more detail on how kids and teens fit here.
