Thanks for the quick responses. I try to stay away from the Roadhouse. It seems to me each one of their locations goes downhill 6 months after they open. I read a review online about the old Pearls Place downtown, which is a now a Bar-B-Que joint... they didn't much good to say. I've never heard anything good about Porky's BBQ, which is just past the square. I was hoping there was some place around here i was missing out on.

I have never been to Pearl's yet. Is it any good? I'll have to try it sometime.
But I've been, only 1 time, to the Texas Roadhouse near the mall. It was okay, but it was way too noisy for me. I went on a Friday night and it was crazy. I couldn't eat. So, me and my friend just ordered 2 drinks and we left after. I can't eat with all that noise.

We were going to go to Porky's yesterday (Thursday), but when we walked in at 6:30, the place was a ghost town. Did we happen upon a bad night or did the quality go down hill? We ended up going to the Raven instead - awesome food and drinks and band. They have about 20 quality (i.e., not budweiser) beers on tap.

Where is the Raven located? I had never heard of it. I would love to try that place out.

It's on 142 N Cortez just south of Willis on the west side of the street.
