JR was renting Angel Camp. Under normal circumstances, AC would be named as an insured under insurance obtained by JR. It's unclear how much the owners of AC had to do with how this event was staged. It's a tragedy all around, as such things always are, and then they end up in court...

We visited Sedona once, and there was an oppressiveness and just an all around bad feeling there because of all of the New Age presence. How sad to take a place so beautiful and make it into a place full of so much false spirituality and New Age hocus pocus.

Canudigit, I know how you feel. When we went through Madrid, NM, it was the same kind of feeling, Very oppressive. A lot of New Age, Wicken, Pentagrams, stuff. I don't remember feeling that way when driving through Sedona though.

I just drove to Sedona the other day. I was in the area and ate at New Frontier Market. I always enjoy my visits to Sedona. It is a very beautiful place in America.
This was a tragedy, this is clear. I hope that this does not repeat itself.

I read that Mr. Ray has already left town. Way to cooperate with the investigation. His people built the thing, I assume the same crew had done it before, but perhaps not.
I read this morning that a Native American expert on sweat lodges was appalled that there were that many people in one, and that the available oxygen gets used up very quickly.

I wonder if the tarps were treated with anything ? It sounds like "pheasant under glass." I wouldn't like the claustrophobia to begin with. Sedona is beautiful. I liked it, and no one tried to force anything New Age on me. I am already way out. It's touristy, and pretty, but I like Jerome better. I hope they solve this mystery. I hope they didn't burn bad herbs in their smudge pots. Amateurish, and a rip off, sounds like.

I heard on the local news last night that James Ray has refused all requests for a press conference or a statement. The Sheriff has also announced an ongoing criminal investigation. Probably why.
