Reported on KSTP TV ( Minneapolis ) that Viking head coach was spotted today in Hattiesburg MS trying to get answers.

Hope he brought flowers and a box of candy with him.

Hope he bought a shotgun

All jokes aside, I'm not interested in what Farve does, it will actually surprise me if he retires.

Favre is awesome. Top 5 QB easily and (the key) very entertaining. We're fortunate he can still play at such a high level at his age. He's a great story to follow every season.

But I do wish they wouldn't go through the whole song and dance about not showing up for camp. We know that's why he "retires" then "un-retires" so just say, "I'll show up a couple weeks before the start of the regular season," and call it a day. He's earned that in my opinion.

More like kneepads.

He's going to play if the ankle is good. He doesn't like training camp, never has. I would like it though if he spent more time getting the timing with the receivers.

Favre had one of his best statistical seasons of his career last season doing what he's doing right now...

If the Vikings would just give Favre a recliner, fridge full of beer, his playbook, and some game footage to disect during the first couple weeks of camp, he'd probably announce tomorrow that he's ready to play this season. He hates camp and that's the bottom line.

All the drama even during the last years with Green Bay was probably because he dreads camp that much. He won't admit it because it would look bad to teammates and to the rest of the macho media.

Lol no, its an old story to follow every season, gets old after you retire then come back.

I mean the story during the season, when he's consistently one of the best QBs in the league. He's fascinating to watch...

I said I agree the retirement stuff is old. He's earned the ability, in my opinion, to say "I'll show up a few weeks before the start of the season." If he helps me get deep in the playoffs, I'd have no problem with it.

He had a great season last year.

But the Vikings darn sure didn't pay him the big bucks and set special rules for him just to come up short in the NFC championship.

A year ago Viking fans ( and the media) were proclaiming him the missing link that now was connected and an elusive Super Bowl victory was upcoming.

Interesting that this year Viking management are downplaying the expectations.
