OK, Brett Favre's last two passes were not so good.

I'm so sick of Brett Favre. As much as I hate to admit it, he's beyond done. This Jets game (along with the rest of the season) proved it. He just needs to retire, go back to Mississippi, eat the Early Bird breakfast from Denny's, play with his grandson, watch 60 Minutes and go to bed by 8:00 p.m. He's done. DONE.

The season is shot. Over. Finished. I know this won't happen, but the Vikings should convince Favre to retire, start Joe Webb for the rest of the season to get him some experience and blow the thing up in the offseason -- rebuild. This team isn't going to win a Super Bowl.

Oh my....so guess what one of the headlines is on ESPN.com right now?

"Jets survive Favres 2nd-half magic"

Seriously, the guy stunk up the place....threw the game sealing interception and they put up that headline? Really, that's just embarassing. <puke>

and most Viking fans are quite gullible.

I was at the coffee shop this morning ( rural Minnesota) and you would have thought the Viking's had won.

Most common phrases-----" Wasn't that 2nd half comeback by Favre simply amazing"........." did you see that topuchdown pass from Favre to Randy Moss ? "

Unlike other Minnesotans who follow the Vikings, I'm not much of a kool aide drinker.

ESPN sure proclaimed often how good the Viking defense was.

Fact--------if your defense allows the other team to get within easy field goal range over and over and over, you're gonna loose.
( despite patting yourself on the back cuz you prevented a touchdown)

5 field goals ( 15 points) beats 2 touchdowns + pat ( 14) any day of the week.

An enthusiatic female reporter stated--------" Favre breaks records in game with Jets last night"

I was listening to the game on the radio at work (late job, no TV in the workplace) and had just commented to a coworker, "He's going to throw an interception, and that'll be the end of that." No sooner said than done. If you sign a gunslinger to be your starting quarterback, you have to know this is going to happen.

I accepted that reality when Favre was a Jet. Viking fans will have to accept it now. The only part of the deal I don't like is the continual spinning of a Favre "legend." But then, that's the sort of thing that makes headlines.

Well, the first FG they started on the MN 40 due to a Favre sack and a net punt of only 30 yards.

2nd FG was a 53 yarder after a modest drive.

3rd FG was a drive starting at the MN47 (favre fumble)

4th FG was a drive starting at the MN46 (favre fumble)

5th FG started at the MN 19 (86 yard kick return)

So basically, 4 of those 5 FG's were courtesy of special teams and Favre and 1 of the 2 touchdowns were the same way.

Basically, the MN defense gave up about 10-13pts. and the MN offense and special teams gave up the rest. Really can't fault their defense.

Good comments. I think the Vikings would be 2-2....no....3-1 if they'd been playing EITHER of their other QB's.

I say this and I'm not even a fan of the Vikings...they are quite frankly losing games they shouldn't right now.
