Sad that these things will continue to happen as long as I watch the NFL every season
1. Because coaches have confidence in their receivers to run after the catch.
2. Because corner is the hardest position to fill in football and not everybody is Darrell Revis. Plus there are more great receivers than great corner backs.
3. Quarterbacks throw to the sideline in the 2 minute drill to stop the clock, or throw it away when they get pressured so they don't lose yardage.
4. Quarterbacks turn their back to one side of the field so they can get in better position to throw the ball. No matter what your going to have a blindside unless you throw like your shooting a basketball.
5. Coaches try to call for big plays when the other team least expects it. Looks like you least expected it as well.
6. Coaches call running plays on 4th and 1 because they want to get the first down and keep the drive alive.
7. Players laugh and talk after big loss's because they're douchebags and don't care about football.
8. Defense goes to quarter deep prevent when they are ahead because the other team usually throws the ball 40 times to try and get points on the board.
9. Players and coaches celebrate after going up 3 because they are in the lead by 3 points and points are usually hard to come by unless your playing the St. Louis Rams.
10. Coaches call the wide receiver screen pass to offset the defense and usually it is to a wide receiver that can break 2 or 3 tackles. It is impossible to break 15 tackles because there are only 11 men on the field and it would have to be a really fast defense to get 11 guys all on one side anyways.

On 3rd and 3 why go for a BOMB when you can get the first down and thrown that same bomb on 1st and 10??????????
Look at week one. Low scores and plenty of injuries. How about coaches make OTA's and preseason mandatory so majority of NFL players aren't looking Favre-ish. Get these players in camp in June!!!
I'm sick of having players show up when they want to and just getting into shape during the first 4 games then after week 5 you start to see players really come around.
Same goes for baseball, obviously having spring training only 4 weeks accomplishes nothing.
1. Depending on the coverage, receivers might get some cushion and have some space to run after the catch. If the corner is on a 10 yard island, running a 10 yard route will play right into his hands and end up in a pick.

Because trying to force it where there's no play seldom results in a good play. Morte times than not it's a bad result.

If you know anything about throwing a ball you need to have your shoulders pointing to your target. If you throw while square to the LOS your pass will be a wounded duck.

A lot of teams run a cover 2 on 3rd & short, meaning the corners press and safeties fly up field. If you have a guy that can beat the press (Anquan Boldin/TO type) there's no reason you can't sneak a deep pass and it keeps the defense from cheating up on future 3rd and short situations.

I've played and coached for a long time. Depending on the extent of the game it's best to not let your anger get the best of you. Also a lot of times guys are smiling and joking on the field after a loss is because their family and friends are there. When they get to the locker room and back on the bus I guarantee it's a different tone.

On crossing routes when the receivers catches it for no gain it's generally because of 2 things: he was a check down target and not the primary target, and/or it was good coverage if he could make the tackle the instant he catches it.

I know coaches should focus on the first down on 3rd and whatever so they can get a fresh set oof downs
If it were only that simple....defensive cooridinators aren't dumb and they know offensive cooridinators think like this. Why do you think they set up their corners on a 10 yard island when it's 3rd and 10? If other coaches I coach against thought like you, both of my corners would lead the nation in interceptions.
