Just booked a trip to Milwaukee to visit an old friend November 3-7. Of course, we will be attending Lions v Packers on 11/6 for MNF in Green Bay. Very jacked right now and counting the days....

It's only one preseason game but Kenny G. is looking impressive.

Kerry Hyder tore his Achilles tendon on Sunday. Out for the season. Expected to be ready for training camp in '18. This will be a huge blow to the DL. Hyder was outstanding last season.

Kerry Hyder's season-ending injury can't be excuse for Lions pass rush

Great move for Detroit. Stafford isn't the best QB in the league but he's already a Detroit legend and this time is a steaming pile of poo without him. Happy he was paid and will have a short lived tenure as highest paid NFL player.

Great for Stafford, he deserves it. People zero in on the highest paid, blah, blah, but you're right, where would they be without him? Others coming up will be paid more than him, no doubt!

Stafford's always been an impressive, no-nonsense guy IMO. Pay him while he's still doing an excellent job. Detroit needs a QB like this for their future.

Stafford deserves his contract and is a good QB....but expectations will come with all that money. He gets criticism for not winning a playoff game and not winning the NFC North. There were 2 seasons I remember (last year when A Rod was in his funk and about 4 seasons ago when A Rod was injured and Green Bay won their division with an 8-7-1 record) that Detroit had chances to win but didn't...but definitely not all Stafford's fault. Detroit needs better defense and running game.
