Don't know if that's fair. I u remember Detroit did suffer some tragedy on the o-line. Mike Utley got hurt and everybody forgot about eric andolsek getting killed in the of season. Losing 2 starters like that would hurt anybody's line. I think letting eric kramer go to chicago was a mistake though.

That idea wasn't original to me, I heard it somewhere in the media.
I remember the "ineffectual" drafting year after year.
The Lions had nothing else. I remember statements like "Barry's running is what puts people in the seats". No other reason for people to watch.
Empty seats = no $$$.

A substantial article from USA Today about Stafford and Company. I like the coverage.

I watched the whole first half of the game against the Pats and the Lions are throwing down especially the D-line and Stafford.

It's only preseason but I am jacked up for kickoff. I finally have a good feeling about the Lions.

According to Patriot's gossip, the Lions were trying and the Patriot's were not. They say this game was the Lions' super bowl. You know, the usual....
Most fans seem to be placing the Packers as distant favorites ahead of Chicago and Detroit, with Minnesota bringing up the rear.
Would be nice to rub it in their faces, but time will tell.

Looking good so far. Caught most of the first half at a bar in downtown Phoenix. Had to leave early because my friend wanted to get to the D-backs game earlier (t-shirt promotion today). Following now on my phone. Go Lions!

Winning on the road Week 1 is a great start. The Stafford/Megatron Connections is nothing short of amazing. If Stafford stays healthy this team is set for the next few years at least. God, it feels great to be pumped about the Lions again. At the bar today there was another table of Lions fans and I overheard someone talking about the Fontes era. It's been so long since this team has been worth watching. If the Lions keep building this could be a great year for Detroit sports.
