I think the Lions will be on fire this week, and I don't think the Falcons are up to the task. Lions should win.

Bad news:

Jahvid Best may be done for the season with his 2nd concussion this year.

Worse news:

He may retire. He's still a very young man; hope he makes the right decision for his family. Ifya ain't got yer health.....ya ain't got nuthin'.

The Jerome Harrison/Ronnie Brown trade has been nixed due to Harrison failing his physical with Philly. Nobody's talkin' at this point.

Maurice Morris will start against the Falcons on Sunday.

For Lions fans in The Valley of the Sun:

Our local Fox affiliate hasn't decided which early game will be televised; prob'ly be the Bears vs. Buccs in London.

From our friends over at the Eagles thread:

Harrison has a brain tumor.

This trade attempt may have saved Harrison's life. According to ESPN he is now out for the season but the tumor was discovered at an early stage and should be treated with no issue. Best of luck to Jerome.

It is that saying that life gets in the way of football sometimes. Hopeful for a full recovery.

My fingers were crossed, I said my prayers but, alas, the Lions televised in Phoenix on back-to-back weeks was not to be. Instead of the Lions we get the lackluster Bears v Bucs. Time to search for a local Meet Up because I can't afford trips to the bar each Sunday.

I think the Lions stand a good chance against ATL even without Best. The running game leaves much to be desired even with Best in place (despite his occasional great burst). Not sure how good Mo Morris is on the pass though. My guess is the play book will open a bit and Stafford will be going downfield more today. I'm looking for a big game, yet again, from Megatron and/or Pettigrew.

Go Lions!

Tie score, lucky for the Lions as they kicked to Weems (never smart) and his return for TD was called back penalty against the Dirty Birds. I'm always amazed when teams kick right to Weems and Hester!
