I caught the game (Lions/Rams) on satellite radio. I knew it was the Lions' game to win or lose right after the opening kickoff. I was very pleased that they didn't let up after going ahead 17-3.

Also, I was surprised that the Rams kept Bradford in all the way 'til the end. Kinda weird. With a few minutes left in the game and no chance of winning, The Rams' future could've been knocked out. I don't think Schwartz would do that with Stafford.

Speaking of Mathew, word is that he'll be back in three weeks. That is good news.

Glad to see that Shaun Hill has realized that Calvin Johnson is on his team. Double coverage and all. CJ is a playmaker.

The Lions need to be flawless against the Giants next week. If not, then expect a trouncing. A win at the "New" Meadowlands would turn their season around right quick.

I just don't see it happening though.

Ha! If your in north/central you'll have to put up with the Giants/Jets fans and the Iggles crowd if you're in south. Lose-lose situation for you, my friend.

Stand tall!

The Lions aren't saying squat about CJ's shoulder injury.

I s'pose that they want the G-men to be guessing right up until game time.

I don't think it's going to work.

I just hope Shaun Hill doesn't get pummeled like Cutler did.

Wishful thinking......

Well, at least this Jet fan will be with you in spirit. Take heart from the fact that Eli Manning is neither his brother nor his father.

Despite the penalties, they still managed to keep their heads above water. Certainly sucks to lose, but it wasn't a trouncing by any means.

The close-but-no-cigar act is getting old.

I wonder what the problem is. Lack of confidence and or aggression? Is it all the penalties?

It could be any number of things. But I think a lot boils down to being an expansion team. Millen destroyed the Lions. New upper managment and coach had to lay the foundation last season and start from scratch. I see at least 1 more rough year before things take a turn for the better.

At least they're drafting what they actually need now. That's a start.

I hate Matt Millen.

True, although I really do hope they can get their act together this season. Even just a few wins, especially on the road, would boost their confidence. The penalties are getting ridiculous though. Being plagued with injuries certainly doesn't help either. Good thing they're off this week.

Agreed about Millen. Thank goodness he's gone.

Yep.....penalties have been deadly.

Not to mention the dropped passes.

Injuries are killing the Lions this year too, as they're not deep at many positions.

Most of the Lions' losses have been by close games (Vikings beat 'em by 14), so they're much more competitive this year. They're 3 players away from winning their division.

Playoffs in 2012.....
