One third down conversion for the whole game will not ensure a victory vs. the Vikings.

Or anyone.

After watching Houston's D destroy the Bears, it will not be a pleasant football day for Lions' fans on Thanksgiving.

The highlight of the day though......

we got to see the 49ers and Rams tie.

But, as usual, our Phoenix affiliates showed the Dallas game.

So we caught the OT.

It was a good Sunday to have Calvin Johnson or AP on your fantasy team. The Lions did a solid for some.

I was just looking at our franchise records. Stafford is currently 6th on the passing list and moving up fast. By next season he should be sitting behind Bobby Layne as our number 2. Calvin Johnson has already solidified the second position at WR.

Many would argue this is proof of what a failure the Lions have been historically. They were, however, a good club prior to the Super Bowl era. I look at this as perhaps the most exciting era in Lions history. This season has been a letdown but the future is bright. Can you imagine how this offense would look with a franchise running back?

The Bears are doing the same thing with Cutler and Marshal. Cutler is fast on his way to becoming the most prolific passer in Bears history, and Marshal is crushing the single season records for WR.

Though I agree the Lions have been historical bad, I don't think this is really evidence. Passing and receiving records, I'd imagine for almost all NFL teams have been broken in the last 10-15 years, and certainly since say, 1990 onward. Just a sign of the times.

Well, we played Green Bay a helluva lot better than Houston did. The odds are not in our favor but Turkey Day magic is not out of the question. In fact, I think we can win this one. Only thing now is to find a place to watch on Thursday. Win or lose, I plan on having a good Turkey Day.

Titus Young is going to be inactive for the game on Thursday due to his bad attitude.

We're staying home, but I'll catch most of it.

Gotta cook, ya know?
