Predictions for Sunday? I think it could be a shootout. If Schwartz can keep the defense in line and keep penalties at a minimum I think the Lions will take the W. Foles will make things interesting for Philly and it could get interesting if it ends up a quarterback duel. Liking the Lions, myself.

Lions 37-31.

Putrid. Just putrid. On Lions forums, the talk is about whether or not Schwartz should be fired at the end of the season. Losing the Philadelphia game isn't the problem. The problem is losing to teams like Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh. Had they won those two games or even one of those two games, the Philthydephia loss wouldn't be as magnified.

I'm not going into panic mode yet. The division is still theirs to lose. If they don't make the playoffs, however, it will be time for new blood. This squad has too much talent to finish anywhere short of 8-8. I like Schwartz but not so sure if he's head coach material. That said, who's out there to replace him?

Good coaches, hard to come by that is for sure. Lions need some structure, discipline, they have talented players. Now with some of the foul calls they get, not all of them deserved, this should have been addressed before they got a bulls eye on their backs. It is a shame, they really could have had a lock on the NFC North, especially with Cutler/Rodgers out.

You read Schwartz is on the hot seat but I don't have any suggestions for you, Lovie Smith??? He's familiar with the north and I don't think he puts up with any player nonsense. When I think of McCarthy and his QB school, developing QBs, I think Stafford could use some direction, someone working specifically with him.

I have family that are as serious about the Lions as I am about the Packers but I always say, I like the NFC North teams always have.

That's the problem though. With the injuries to the Bears and the Packers this year Detroit should already be sitting on a nearly insurmountable lead.

When that happens you have to take a long hard look at what went wrong.

You just don't want to be the Vikings and keep making the same mistakes over and over and over....

I think there will be a lot of teams interested in Lovie after the season ends. Vikes and Lions would be just 2 off the top of my head.

Ya know, we actually received the game here in Phoenix on regular TV (our local FOX affiliate sux),.....

.....and I thought immediately at kickoff that the Lions were gonna lose (saw the weather).

Then we started to spank 'em.....then.....we got spanked.

Oh well.

There is no reason for a good team to NOT finish the regular season with 3 wins in a row with the Lions' schedule.

And yeah, that loss to Tampa was like a punch in the gut.

Nearing the end of the first half, Stafford is playing terrible. He needs to step up his game when it matters most.

Detroit has the lead right now if Calvin holds onto the ball on that first drop. Tirico and Gruden are acting like these drops are uncharacteristic for Megatron. Clearly, they haven't seen much of him this year. Because he's dropped quite a few passes that were right on the money. It must be driving Stafford crazy.
