12,000% chance he won't be coaching week 1 of the preseason for the Lions next year.
This last month, especially the back to back home losses the last 2 weeks nailed his fate.

The Lions cannot justify keeping Schwartz after basically beating themselves out of the playoff race. The lack of discipline and the bumper crop of turnovers go right to coaching IMO. Losing two straight HOME games with their playoff hopes on the line is just unjustifiable.

When I die, I want some Lions' players to be my pall bearers.

Just so they can let me down one last time.

On the bright side, we watched the Cardinals overcome some adversity and beat a very good Seattle team. As a first year head coach, Arians has set the bar high. Too bad the Lions' players/coaches haven't been able to see what a good job Arizona has done this year.

Oh wait.

They have, as the Cardinals beat the Lions soundly for AZ's home opener.

Don't be surprised if the Ford family keeps Schwartz around. He has two years left on his contract and GM Mayhew really likes him. They'll blame injuries and officiating behind closed doors, then have a horrible draft in the spring.

Commercial air time for Sunday's Lions/Vikings game is on sale.........

Why would they keep Schwartz? How do coaches contracts work if they fire him, do they owe him money? He should give them money! I couldn't believe his comments about this season not being a failure. A major collapse isn't a failure???

There's some contract details in this article:

Jim Schwartz's contract has more than $12 million left on it, according to report - Pride Of Detroit

The numbers aren't looking good. He signed a sweet deal. YAZ could be right on the money. Ford may hold on for another season to save some cash.
