We caught the Tigers while they were in town. Verlander pitched OK.

50% Detroit fans in attendance. (rough guess)

Saw a couple of Cards vs. Lions out here (both AZ wins), Detroit has about a 25% fan showing at the games.
I'll be at the Lions / Cards game for the third year in a row.

Well, the first preseason game is in the books.

And Kellen Moore is the talk of the town.

I hope kellen moore gets the chance to compete for a starting job eventually. This kid is hands down better than Geno Smith, or Ej Manuel, Matt Cassell, etc

I know it's only the slumping Giants but opening the MNF with a win in Motown is a great way to start the season. Stafford to Megatron will be glorious to watch this season. Dumb penalties are still an issue but Caldwell has the squad looking impressive going into Week 2. A victory in Carolina next week is not out of the question and it would be great to be 2-0 rolling into the Week 3 game hosting Green Bay.

Stafford looked great! He has had the potential but maybe coaching is finally doing the trick. I never got the "I don't need a coach" remarks he's made in the past. This has been a team with some incredible talent which makes one think clean those penalties and issues up, they could be a force.

Freese stinks. This kid cost the Lions big today. Missing to field goals changes the dynamic of the game. He's now 2 of 5. Not how he wants to start his career.

Huge game next week against Green Bay. No missed field goals. No dropped passes. No stupid penalties. It'll be a tough game but one they must establish themselves and come away with a win. These divisional match ups will be very important this year.
