The only thing crazy about this week (really) is that people actually think it was a crazy week.

I mean, seriously, this was nothing.

Dallas' win over the Texans wasn't a complete shock.
The Rams just overpowered the Redskins and it's not like the Skins are a dominant team.
And even though the Falcons win over the Saints was considered an upset, it's not like Atlanta's a bad team.

Gotta suck to be a Raiders fan today. That one surprised me. Sea Bass must have caught the same bug that the Saints kicker had.......

So what crazy things happened this week? I thought the Rams winning their first regular season game in who knows how long was crazy, but that's all! Looks like the Cowboys found out how to win games, looks like Brett Favre came back, looks like the Steelers found some offense, looks like the Falcons might go on a win streak, looks like the Bengals can get away with sloppy, looks like Carolina is the new worst NFL football team... Just new week to week things just like every week!

Lots of passing yardage is what stood out this week. Rivers and Orton both topped 400 and E.Manning was just a few yards short of 400 himself. Even Chad Henne racked up 360 yards passing.

I think the Steelers and coach Tomlin deserve special mention. I am not a Steelers fan, but am an admirer of how that franchise is operated. They should just stick with Batch and Dixon the rest of the way, because the way their defense is playing, anyone could line up under center. The Steelers coaching staff constantly retools personnel, they don't sign people like Albert Haynesworth, they play a system oriented, team first design that puts their defensive players in position to make big plays. Players like Lawrence Timmons, who just go out there and put in 60 minutes of work, and keep their mouths shut. It's a refreshing scene.

Another play that stood out yesterday, and it was just the way the player handled himself. Did anyone watch the Broncos-Colts game, and the receiver just activated off the practice squad, Blair White, catches a touchdown pass, the first of his young career. What did he do after he scored? He tossed the ball to the referee. Can you imagine that! If more players conducted themselves in the same vain as Blair White, the league wouldn't be suffering from the myriad of image problems they currently have.

Yo, TVSG, I suppose you didn't think the Jets were going to beat Miami, either.

You know the Bucs and Chiefs are not playoff teams. This is the month of September. What counts is what you do after Halloween.

I did think it was a possibility.

The Rams was a suprise because like Chris Berman said last night they don't normally win in the month of September. That was their first win in the month of September since September 24, 2006.

So yes it was surprising.
