I saw that the Cowboys are worth the most at over 1B, how do they go about this. As an owner do they have complete say over the team since they own it? How about some of those celebs who bought into the Dophins like Jennifer Lopez etc, do they have any say over matters or is it just for show?

I was wondering this and thouht I'd ask here Have a great day!

I'm not sure either, but I can't see why the Cowboys are still #1. They have't even won a SB in 15 years or something close to that. I guess it's all on how much the team is marketed, how much crap they sell with their logo on it, etc. I'm just speculating though.

The easiest way would be to look at the franchise as any investment and consider the present value of projected earnings. Basically, how much money do they make and is it steady and predictable.

In reality though, it's going to boil down to supply and demand and certain storied franchises have more cache than others...as well as more well heeled potential buyers.
