Am I the only one who thinks firing Tom Cable was the not best move? 6-0 in a hostile division, the first non-losing record in years. I hope ya'll can hang on to Hugh Jackson though.

Ill give my opinion.

Tom Cable should of been kept. He is a good head coach and the team likes playing under him. He made great offseason decisions, (Jared Veldheer, Jacoby Ford, Rolando McClain) and improved the Oakland Raiders' statistics, most notably their season record. ( The first winning record since 2003).
Although they missed the playoffs by 1 game, also with the help of Kansas City Chiefs' cupcake schedule, Tom Cable should of been spared. Also, Hugh Jackson is an offensive coach, and it should stay that way.

Thank you Tom Cable for benching Jamarcus Russell, in favor of Bruce Gradkowski, in the 2009-2010 season.

Ill give you facts.

* Season Record: 8-8 (1st winning record since 2003)
* Division Record: 6-0 (1st team, since the merger, to miss the playoffs but still go undefeated in their division
* Stats :
Total offense - 10th - 354.6 ypg
Rush offense - 2nd - 155.9 ypg
Pass offense - 23rd - 198.8 ypg
Total defense - 11th - 322.8 ypg
Rush defense - 29th - 133.6 ypg
Pass defense - 2nd - 189.2 ypg
* Ranked 6th in the NFL in scoring points.
* Ranked 2nd in the NFL in sacks given.
* Scored the highest amount of points in frachise history - 59 points
**The 2010-2011 Oakland Raiders broke many other records, especially within their franchise. ANd also spoiled other team records.
MVP: Darren McFadden - 220+ carries, 1200 yds, 7 tds....5th highest rushing in franchise history.

Next season:

According to the 2010-2011 season, the Oakland Raiders are more than likely going to the playoffs in the 2011-2012 season. (Note: Only missed the playoffs by 1 game, which could of been the missed game winning field goal against the Arizona Cardinals).
All the Oakland Raiders really need is a good head coach, and a reliable wide receiver. If the Raiders can find that player, that means more yards over the air, more touchdowns, more wins.

Next Schedule:

San Diego Chargers - 2 WINS
Denver Broncos - 2 WINS
Kansas City Chiefs - 2 WINS
New England Patriots - ?????
Minnesota Vikings - ?????
Cleveland Browns - WIN
Green Bay Packers - ?????
New York Jets - ?????
Detroit Lions - WIN
Buffalo Bills - WIN
Miami Dolphins - WIN
Houston Texans - WIN
Chicago Bears - ?????

In the 2010-2011 season, NFL analyst predicted the Oakland Raiders would post a 10 win season. They posted a 8 win season, but a 10 win season was MORE THAN POSSIBLE.

In this 2011-2012 season, I am predicting at least a 11 win season and a division title.

Outside the division, they could only beat weak teams!
