Sure Vick missed a couple of games, but we all know if he played those missed games nothing would change. He would still have top stats.

Well...RIGHT NOW.....Manning is leading a bunch of walk-ons and fourth stringers to victories every week. Vick has all his weapons and barely beat the Colts' MASH Unit by two points.

Manning by a landslide.......

ESPN.com Poll Results by State

With 49% of the votes, Michael Vick is voted best QB right now. Yet this poll is stupid and dumb. I love it.

What does it matter?

Whoever wins the Superbowl is the most important thing.

That's a pretty big IF. People are high on him now because he's winning and he's yet to throw and INT. That'll change. Furthermore, given the fact that Vick is not afraid to run outside the pocket, I'd wager a good sum that he'll eventually take a career-altering shot. Even McNair was never the same after the broken sternum. Vick may be about 4 years younger, but I bet that Manning will still be playing after Vick is done.

The only reason I didn't delete this thread right off the get go was that there was a surprising amount of people voting for Vick, so I let the thread stand, keeping in mind the thread idea here is Vick versus Manning regarding quarterback efficiency for this year. I'll give this thread another day or so and then close it as some of the commentary is getting a little salty.

I think this debate can be settled by looking at both players' rings:

Manning:

Vick:

Manning by a landslide.......
Manning had Reggie Wayne and Pierre Garcon his top wide receivers. Austin Collie was his #3 wide receiver most of last year. His running back Donald Brown was first round pick last year. This year he split time with Joseph Adai. Granted he is missing Dallas Clark. When he stepped on the field he had MOST of his offensive weapons. Your walk-ons and fourth stringer argument has not merit.

The bottom line is Peyton Manning played one of the worst games at quarterback in recent years and he threw two interceptions. The second one ended the game. For that game Michael Vick was the better quarterback. At the end of the day the only thing the counts is the score.

You forget that when Vick was the starting QB, Matt Schaub was on the bench in Atlanta.
Point well taken.
