I think a key point here is just how TOUGH it is to get into the HOF for each respective sport.

Baseball in particular is really jacked up because of the steroid era. Meaning how do you compare clean to dirty players?

While there are plenty of athletes with gold medals or other honors that they got dirty (especially olympics) we just have to take these on a case by case basis.
